Women’s First Choice provides a variety of pregnancy and sexual health services. All services are provided at no cost.
Pregnancy Confirmation (Pregnancy Testing and Ultrasound)
Even if you have taken a home pregnancy test, it’s important to have a diagnosis from a medical professional. A lab-quality, urine-based pregnancy test will be offered to you free of charge. Regardless of the results, we are here for you. We care about you and your overall health and well-being. If you want written verification of your pregnancy, bring photo identification, and the verification will be given to you at the end of your appointment.
An ultrasound is vital in confirming a positive pregnancy test. We offer limited ultrasounds only for pregnancy confirmation at our medical center. During your visit, if the test our nurses provide is positive, we may be able to offer you an ultrasound free of charge. The nurse will be able to determine if you qualify based on your medical history.
It is important to know whether you have an STI before terminating a pregnancy. Having an STI (sexually transmitted infection) when you have an abortion can cause Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), leading to a lifetime of reproductive health problems. We can provide free of charge STI testing before you make your decision regarding your pregnancy.
Our Registered Nurses are here to walk you through the medical process at Women’s First Choice Medical Center. We answer any questions you may have and walk you through all of your options. We offer partnership and decision support to you during this time. The nurse will provide sexual health education and consult with you about your next steps. She will also provide community resources and referrals.
No matter what decision you make, there are resources in our community as you navigate your path. Whether you need to speak with an adoption advocate to create an adoption plan to fit your needs, find parenting classes, or get plugged into a post-abortive support group, there is always something for you.
We understand an unexpected pregnancy can often lead to a difficult decision. You may have questions about parenting, abortion, or adoption and we want to provide answers for you and assure that you do not feel alone throughout this process. We want to make sure you are fully informed on all of your options using evidence-based education so you can make the best decision for you.
Our team will be with you each step of the way. We pride ourselves on building a relationship with each woman who walks through our door. You are not a number. Our Patient Advocate will walk with you during your appointment with us to offer a listening ear and support. We care about you and want to make sure your unique story is heard in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere that we will provide.
